As Founder & Artistic Director of INBRAZA, Luara Brandao has secured and directed the platform's presentation across leading festivals and cultural institutions in Australia and internationally, expanding the visibility of Baile Funk as a global cultural movement while creating new pathways for culturally diverse artists within contemporary music spaces.
Operating across festivals, touring events, and multidisciplinary cultural programs, her programming work bridges underground music culture with major institutional and international platforms, amplifying emerging Australian artists at every stage.
Each of the engagements below was secured through direct invitation from the festival or institution involved.
Sync Festival
London, United Kingdom
Luara took INBRAZA overseas for the first time, curating and directing a stage at Sync Festival in London — the platform's first international festival presentation outside Australia and New Zealand.
She led the curatorial selection and creative direction of the stage's lineup, bringing Australian artists into an international festival environment alongside globally emerging underground music collectives, and extending INBRAZA's cultural exchange work between Brazil and Australia into a new market.
The invitation reflected growing international recognition of her programming work, and the project created a direct pathway for the Australian artists she brought with her to reach international audiences and industry networks — an important step in establishing INBRAZA, and her own practice as an artistic director, on the international stage.
Pitch Music & Arts Festival
Victoria, Australia
Luara secured and directed INBRAZA's first large-scale Baile Funk activation within a major Australian electronic music festival, programming to an audience of 40,000+ attendees. The activation expanded the representation of Afro-diasporic and Brazilian music culture within Australia's festival landscape and gave emerging local artists a platform in front of a mainstream festival audience.
Dark Mofo
Tasmania, Australia
Luara was invited to direct a large-scale INBRAZA takeover within Dark Mofo's Night Mass program, one of Australia's leading contemporary arts and cultural festivals.
She curated and programmed the activation, bringing together live performance, MC culture and sound system influences into an immersive, multi-hour cultural experience that positioned Baile Funk within a major institutional arts context.
Sydney Biennale 2026
Sydney, Australia
Luara brought INBRAZA's programming into the broader cultural program of the Sydney Biennale 2026, contributing to conversations around diaspora, music, identity, and contemporary cultural exchange through community-led creative practice.
The inclusion of INBRAZA within a globally recognised arts institution reinforced her growing role, and the platform's, within Australia's evolving cultural landscape.
Parramatta Lanes

Luara directed INBRAZA's cultural programming across both the 2024 and 2025 editions of Parramatta Lanes, one of Sydney's largest multidisciplinary cultural festivals celebrating music, food, art and contemporary culture — a repeat booking reflecting an ongoing partnership rather than a single engagement.
Presented in partnership with local cultural organisations, the programming she led focused on creating accessible cultural experiences while expanding the visibility of Afro-Latin cultural movements within Australia's broader arts and festival landscape.
Parramatta Lanes' continued inclusion of INBRAZA across two consecutive years reinforced the platform's, and Luara's, growing contribution to culturally diverse festival programming in Australia.
