PARRAMATA LANES

Curated by Luara Brandao

In October 2023, INBRAZA was invited to take over the main stage of the iconic Parramatta Lanes Festival, thanks to the trust and support of the City of Parramatta.

Curated by Luara Brandao, the event brought Afro-Latinx energy to the heart of Western Sydney, transforming Centenary Square into a celebration of rhythm, culture, and community.

With performances by MAZ, Celinita, Warfish, and Lady Chika (all QTBIPOC Djs), the night was a powerful expression of diasporic joy, uniting multicultural crowds through the pulse of Baile Funk and Afro-Latin beats. This moment marked a significant milestone for INBRAZA as we continue to reimagine public space as a site of cultural exchange and liberation.

We extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We acknowledge their living connection to Country, relationship with the land and all living things extending back tens of thousands of years.
